On Monday, November 28, residents of Rochester, MI, braved a steady drizzle to kick off the 2011 Big, Bright Light Show. Mayor Jeffrey Cuthbertson was joined by Santa & Mrs. Claus to lead the crowd in a countdown to illuminate Downtown Rochester with 1.8 million twinkling lights. Visitors to the downtown area can enjoy the lights from 6pm to Midnight every night through January 1st.
Host Stephanie Carroll welcomes representatives of Avondale Schools, including Superintendent George Heitsch, and Charles Granger, Principal of Avondale Academy. Later in the program, Stephanie talks to Mikey Gorak, Recreation Coordinator for the City of Auburn Hills, who talks about the City’s Fall Programs.
