The Rochester Fire Department had a Solar Roof installed in December. The goal is to save the City over $150,000 over the 25 year life span of the Solar Panels.

In its 45th year the 2010 Art & Apples Festival took place in Rochester
Municipal Park September 10-12. 265 artists took part in a juried art show
and over 100,000 attended the event which is the largest fundraiser of the
year for the Paint Creek Center for the Arts.

After more than a decade in Pontiac, Arts, Beats & Eats moved to Royal Oak
in 2010. With 200 bands performing on 10 stages over the Labor Day Weekend,
plus 60 food vendors and 150 artists, Royal Oak residents and participants
seemed to have embraced the change, making the event one of the best ever.
