NEWS: COMMUNITY OUTLOOK 2011

On February 22, the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual
Community Outlook Luncheon on the campus of Oakland University. Prior to the luncheon several speakers made major announcements at a press conference. Then Rochester Mayor Jeffrey Cuthbertson, Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett and Oakland Township Manager Jim Creech gave presentations on the state of his respective municipality.

NEWS: Courageous Persuaders

At a press conference at the North American International Auto Show it was
announced that the Detroit Auto Dealers Association’s Education Foundation
will continue to partner with the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office to
support the Courageous Persuaders Program. Newly-elected Secretary of State
Ruth Johnson was on hand to endorse the annual event that encourages high
school students to create a 30-second TV spot warning middle school students

NEWS: Fire & Ice Fest 2011

As January came to a close the City of Rochester joined forces with Oakland
County and Rochester Hills to host a 3-day winter celebration known as Fire
& Ice Fest. Visitors took part in activities such as downhill tubing, ice
skating and a taste fest as ice sculptures lined the streets of downtown.
